At our trip to the lake my mom’s cooking was a great as Paula Deen’s cooking. At the lake house my mom made something new. She made something we haven’t seen or heard of. She called it a weird name, but since it was made with chocolate cake everyone just called it chocolate cake anyway. My mom had made the cake from scratch. It was chocolate cake that had a hole through the middle. Inside were hundreds and hundreds of little Nestle Toll House chocolate chips. Some of the chocolate chips were white chocolate, some were dark, and others were milk chocolate. Then on top was powdered sugar around the perfect curved edges, used to decorate the cake. As my mom brought it out of the kitchen and I could smell the fresh smell of chocolate. I could tell that everyone else could smell it because they all said later that the whole room smelt of chocolate. My cousins all said it was like being in a chocolate factory. Everyone wanted to try it right after smelling the chocolate. Everyone then grabbed a plate and followed my mom to the table where she set down her new creation. By the end of the hour every piece was devoured and every crumb was gone. It tasted so good that now if my mom is making the delicious dessert everyone is excited as if that dessert was being made like a professional, like Paula Deen.
